Here at Ascension, teens are confirmed in October of their 10th grade year, and formation begins in November of their 9th grade year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the 2025\/2026 Confirmation Class<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Confirmation Mass with Bishop Noonan is scheduled for October 18, 2026 at 2:30 PM Mass at Ascension. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the 2026\/2027 Confirmation Class<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Confirmation Mass with Bishop Noonan is scheduled for October 17, 2027 at 5:30 PM Mass at Ascension. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below are the Confirmation requirements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Mass<\/strong>– All Confirmandi should be attending Mass each Sunday.<\/li>
  2. Confirmation prep Sessions<\/strong>– (There are 6 total sessions and are for teens only) The Confirmation small group leaders will coordinate with the parent(s)\/guardian(s) of the teens in their specific group to see when and where the entire group will meet for each session.<\/li>
  3. Life Teen<\/strong>– All those in Confirmation are encouraged to be regularly involved with Life Teen, our high school youth group to build community with other high school teens. There are 3 specific Life Nights (Life Teen Sunday Nights) that the Confirmandi will attend. These dates will be sent out for the new Confirmation 2026\/2027 soon. <\/li>
  4. Retreat<\/strong>– Each teen will attend at least one retreat with us. See our Retreats Page<\/a> for updated info. Our Fall Retreat is scheduled at Ascension for November 7, 2026. <\/li>
  5. Rehearsal<\/strong>– For all teens and sponsors (if the sponsor is not able to attend, please have one parent\/guardian attend). Wednesday, October 14th, 2026, 7-8 PM in the church. For the incoming 2026\/2027 class, rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2027 from 7-8 PM. <\/li>
  6. Sponsor<\/strong>– Each teen should pick a sponsor (should not be his\/her parent). The sponsor must be a practicing baptized Catholic in good standing with the Church, must be at least 16 years of age, and must have received the Sacrament of First Eucharist and Confirmation. All sponsors need to fill out the sponsor form and return it to the Ascension parish front office. All sponsors that are parishioners at Ascension may fill out the form and drop it off at the front office and Fr. Ken will sign it and give it to me. Sponsor forms can be found here. <\/a><\/li>
  7. Saint Name<\/strong>– Each teen should choose a specific Saint name to be Confirmed under. This should be a Saint who models for us what it truly means to believe and pursue holiness. All teens must email Cara (cgiuliano@ascensioncatholic.net) the name of their Saint and why they chose that specific Saint with a two-paragraph explanation.<\/li>
